In 2012 the Isle of Wight again hosts the UK’s annual walking festival between 5 to 20 May 2012.

Since it started in 1999, the spring festival has grown from 39 to more than 300 different walks to suit walkers of all age groups and abilities. The island boasts more than 500 miles of well-maintained footpaths, around 30 miles of Heritage Coastline and over half of the Island is recognised as an
Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
