new vacancy part-time Marketing Assistant

We are looking for a part-time Marketing Assistant to join our team. The role will be suited to someone with a marketing qualification. The role will be based at Southern Vectis on the Isle of Wight, but you will be working with our wider marketing team on the mainland. The role is 20 hours per week with daily hours being Monday to Friday 10.00 am to 2.00pm.

This junior position will be responsible for: arranging the effective distribution of marketing material, updating roadwork notifications on our websites, managing print quotations, and ensuring publicity stocks of timetables and any printed communications are looked after. You will also be attending promotional events and communicating with customers on a face to face basis. A large part of this role will be responsible for social media marketing in conjunction with wider marketing campaigns.

Social media is a vital way for us to reach our customers and potential new customers. It’s a fast-moving environment and you will need to be aware of how to maximise the most of our customer interaction and reach.
