Summer timetable changes from Sunday 9 April

We have made a number of timing changes to routes across the Southern Vectis bus network following feedback from customers.

The Summer timetable booklet will be available from travel shops soon (week commencing 27 March).

Here is a summary of what has changed...

Minor changes to some morning journeys.

Minor changes to timings on early morning journeys. The 7.05am from Ryde on Monday to Fridays is retimed to 7am, whilst the 7.12am from Ventnor will now start at Trinity Church. Friday & Saturday Nightbus journeys have new times too.

 

The 6.09pm from Ryde & 6.30pm from East Cowes journeys on Mondays to Saturdays have new times, and the 8.59am from Ryde & 9.25am from East Cowes are reinstated on Sundays for the Summer.

 

Minor changes to timings on early morning journeys every day of the week.

 

Most journeys have revised times every day. The 5.55pm journey from Newport is extended to Godshill for connections onto route 3, and an extra journey will run Mondays to Saturdays at 1.55pm from Newport.

 

Most early morning journeys will start at Alum Bay instead of Totland. The 10.57pm journey from Totland on Sundays will no longer run.

 

The 7.21am journey on Saturdays & 8.21am on Sundays from Lake will additionally serve Morrisons. The 5.45pm from Ryde, 6.40pm & 11.40pm from Newport have new times. Extra buses will run on Saturdays at 7.40pm & 9.40pm from Newport and 8pm from Ryde. Between 24th June and 3rd September extra buses will run between Newport & Sandown.

 

Minor changes to some early morning and late night journeys. Friday & Saturday Nightbus journeys have new times.

 

All journeys extended to serve Alum Bay, whilst the 5.40pm bus from Newport on Monday to Saturdays will no longer serve Yarmouth. The Sunday service is also reintroduced for the Summer.

 

Minor timing changes to the ever popular open top Needles Breezer which runs from Yarmouth right up to the Needles on top of the headland high above Alum Bay.

The Downs Breezer will run hourly with open top buses linking Ryde to many popular attractions and this year will incorporate the scenic east coast through Bembridge.

The Shanklin Steamer will be rebranded the Shanklin Breezer with new times but still linking the town to the Esplanade with open-top buses.

Minor changes to some journeys and rerouted in Ventnor via Park Avenue to serve more hotels. You'll be able to take a ride right along the south coast from one end of the Island to the other.
